Tadpoles Playroom – 3 months to 1 year

We have a wide and varied range of excellent quality equipment, which helps each baby develop cognitive and sensory skills, hand/eye co-ordination and the beginnings of language development. We spend time using paint, sand and water and doing endless messy play.

We also ensure a calm, relaxed, happy environment where our babies receive quality individual care, including singing, music-time, story-time and having a lot of cuddles.

Weather permitting, the babies are taken into the garden where they enjoy the fresh air and watching the older children play. There are also baby swings for the younger children to enjoy.

The babies are able to sleep when ever they need to in a warm, comfortable cot, rocker or pushchair, whichever is preferred. Mats and cushions are always available if all that’s needed is a nap.

Nappies are changed regularly, and the babies are fed individually and in keeping with their routine. This information will be recorded on their daily diary sheet.

If required we are able to liquefy our freshly prepared meals or parents may bring their own choice of baby meal, clearly labelled, which we will store in a fridge.

Babies are fed in clean, safe, high chairs or baby cradle and soon begin the first experience of eating with their friends at our ‘toddler table’. All are ensured an enjoyable time, whilst being encouraged to eat, either with help or feeding themselves.

The team of carers in both our baby rooms are experienced in working with babies and have been specifically chosen because of their obvious genuine love of working with very young children.
