Bumble Bees Playroom – 5 to 8 years

Bumble Bee’s is geared towards the older children who attend during the Summer Holidays and Half Terms and is also used for small group work for the other Playrooms Ladybirds and Dragonflies.

Bumble Bee’s is a free flow room, where the children have the freedom to choose which activities they engage with and for how long they wish to play with a certain item.

Bumble Bee’s concentrates on having fun and exploring through play, we have a wide variety of ICT equipment for children in this age group with items such as a Karaoke machine, P.C, hand held video cameras, digital cameras, microphones, audio photo albums and much more.

We still offer pencil control activities and will help children with their school work if parents wish. There is always a selection of books for the children to access and a quiet area for when the children want some down time. Singing is still a part of the daily routine as are our Jabadeo bags.

Outdoor play is available regardless of weather conditions as we have all in one outdoor suits for the children to wear to allow them to explore the garden and have some exercise.

Meal times in Bumble Bee’s are the same as the other playrooms, with the flexibility of choice, children can choose which items they want to eat but with encouragement from staff to try a little of everything.
